The birth number is the number, which is calculated by adding the numbers of a person’s birth date. The birth number of a person is the recognition of the person’s character and traits. Suppose a person is born on the 26^th day of October in the year 1945. His birth number will be calculated in the following fashion.

 i.e. 1945+10+26 =1981 = 1+9+8+1 = 19 = 9+1 = 10 = 1+0 = 1

Therefore the birth number of the person is one. 

The destiny number denotes the number, which rules the fate of the person. This signifies what a person is like, his good traits and bad and how he would behave in his future. The destiny number of a person can be calculated by adding the number of the letters and then reducing it to a single number.

1 + 14 + 9 + 12 + 1 + 7 + 1 + 18 + 23 + 1 + 12 = 99  = 9 + 9 = 18 = 8 + 1= 9

However the numbers 11 and 22 are never added in case of destiny numbers as they are endowed with power.
