Major Arcana

The Tarot archetypes are simply pictures representing life and the stages and experiences we all go through from birth until death. The 22 cards called the Major Arcana are also called the "Fool's Journey." It is the story of one's journey through life starting as The Fool: The Beginning, youthful, pure energy in spirit form. The journey continues in cards 1 through 20, depicting events and cycles in one's life. Completion is shown in "The World" archetype, the End, and the Fool has traveled to wholeness and completion of the cycle of life. The major Arcana represent one’s journey through life.

The Fool: Represents spontaneity, natural folly, desire for change and a faith in outcome. Childlike optimism, trust and optimism shines through. This card represents fresh starts, mystery, a dash of genius, adventure and a brilliant opportunity to remake your life. It represents new possibilities, a new life and the start of journey.

1. The Magician: Represents action, consciously power, knowledge. Hey have a focus to explore unknown abilities, magical qualities. Appearances are not what they seem, says this card of illusion and creative energy.

2. The High Priestess: It represents non-action, intuition and shows us that the path to self realisation can be reached by overcoming our own doubts, and by looking deeply into life and love. They are not too aware of their surroundings, are full of mystery, dreams, feminine wisdom, intuition and a subtle hidden spirit.

3. The Empress: It represents nature, femininity and fertility. It indicates mothering, nurturing, and abundance of success. It symbolises creativity. The woman on this card promises harmony at work and at home --- marriage, security and warmth.

4. The Emperor: This represents leadership, power and strength. It is symbolic of courage power and authority, fathering and initiating and confidence.

5. The Hierophant: This represents tutelage and guidance. It also asks to give personal conscience. It suggests that one can get advice from various sources, but only they can apply to their life.

6. The Lovers: This is both an intriguing and exciting card. A card of romantic choices, passion and temptation.

7. The Chariot: This signifies will power, an assertive character, victory of obstacle, control on self and discipline. It gives rise to aggressiveness and an urge to win amidst adversity and obstacles.

8.  Justice
: This card represents balance, fairness, decisions, emotions and ones sentimentality. One tends to show the chances of a second love when within the purview of this sign.

9. The Hermit: This represents the brighter side and the optimistic side of one’s life. This helps one to search, guide and look deep within one’s soul.

10. The Wheel of Fortune: This represents the cycle of birth and death. Whatever is good in life is represented and whatever is bad is taken away through death.

11. Strength: This card signifies emotional courage and physical strength and a mental fitness. It helps one to think positive and represents enormous mental capacity.

12. The Hanged Man: This represents reversal, suspension, sacrifice, need to change and delays.It is a symbol of letting go of what was there and the invocation of something new.

13. Death: It's a symbol of rebirth and regeneration. It is an invocation of change. This card shows that by accepting the loss of old love, one gets to find something new.

14. Temperance: This represents temperance balance, middle path, conservation and equality. It preaches balance and good health.

15. The Devil: This represents materialism, hopelessness, despair—in other words all the negative aspects of life. Power lust, money and sexual desire --- the strongest of instincts lie at this card's roots. And the chained figures of man and a woman show how hard it can be to break free.

16. The Tower: This card represents rapid disaster, chaos, forced change and downfall of an individual. It makes revelations and sudden breaks into upheaval.

17. The Star: This Major Arcana is all about a person’s desire to live a happy and placid life. It represents peace of mind, serenity and tranquillity.

18. The Moon: This is the subconscious of a human. All the dark sides get represented. It gives away the subconscious and the hidden emotions. It is emotions, sensitivity and sentiments to their extreme in an individual.

19. The Sun: This card is about light, sunshine construction, building and planning. A card of success, clears promise of a beautiful future.

20. Judgement: This Major Arcana symbolizes major changes and transformations in one’s life. It is the sign of leaving all disappointments behind and look forward to new life.

21. The World: This last card of the Major Arcana speaks of a new life and a New World. It is optimism, which waits to open up, giving one a better insight of life.
