Spreads
The Triadic Spread: It
is a simple method, in which the cards are laid out on
the left representing the past, those in the middle the
present, and those on the right the future. There is no
convention of the way in which one can lay out the cards,
but it is best to keep three in each stack.
The Celtic Cross spread:
All; personal cards are to be selected first. If one is
a male over forty belonging to any air sign they select
the king of Swords. A woman then likewise selects a Queen
card of an appropriate suit. If one is under forty a Knight
card should be selected.
Cover the choice card with the first card,
and place the second card across it. Put the third card
after taking out from the spread on the top, the fourth
card at the bottom, the fifth card on the left hand side,
and the sixth card on the right hand side. Put the seventh,
eighth, ninth and the tenth card in one row on the right
hand side.
First two cards show various aspects of
the present situation. The third card shows us what is
on the querent's mind. The fourth tells us about the various
influences of past three years. Fifth card shows the recent
influences. Sixth card shows the influences of the year
ahead, the seventh signifies the forth-coming future.
And the eighth card shows the personal life, the ninth
reveals the secret hopes and anxieties. And the tenth
tells us the overview.
