THE GAME OF KENO
A Brief History - What is Keno ? Keno, is one of the most
popular number games which is very similiar to LOTTO and BINGO,
traces back to Chinese immigrants who helped build America's historically
treasured Old West railroad. This ancient Chinese game was apparently
invented by Cheung Leung around 200 B.C. as a way to raise money
for a war fund. The game was so successful that it apparently was
also used to fund the building of the Great Wall.
The early versions of Keno used characters on the body of the ticket,
rather than numbers 1 through 80. Those characters were the first
eighty of a well-known poem called "The Thousand Character Classic",
which was used to teach reading and writing to children.
The Goal of the Game
This is much like playing the lottery. The goal is to choose the
winning number or numbers!
The typical version of Keno is similar to the lotto, except that
numbered balls come out of the Keno goose. The most typical version
of keno is race-horse keno. In this game, the player has a numbered
card and numbered ping-pong balls are drawn from a draw device to
declare the winning nos. Hifunda Keno is computer driven and generates
automatically randomly the numbers.
